Coffs Harbour is a picturesque grass course located next to the airport, about 6 hours north of Sydney, regarded as being the half way point between Sydney & Brisbane.

Nice long and wide run home can give most horses their chance. The track was built on a swamp and does become very heavy when rain affected. It is not unusual to see winners coming from a long way back to finish on the outside fence when the track is rain affected.

The 1400m & 1600m starting points are excellent and give horses a good long run to the first turn. Similarly the 2100m also has a good run in.

The 1200, 1000m & 800m are very tricky for horses drawn wide. Inside barrier an advantage here.
