Located on the NSW/Vic border Echuca hosts a tight turning grass track with a short straight.

Runners cannot afford to be trapped wide from any starting point so inside barriers are an advantage. However both the 1400m & 12oom starts do give a reasonable run to the first turn to give runners an opportunity to get in.

Very short straight means runners have to be handy on the turn, preferably in front or on the fence.
