SUNSHINE COAST

Corbould Park is located just off the Bruce Hwy as you drive in to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland about an hour north of Brisbane.

There are two racing surfaces, the main grass course proper, and an inside Cushion Track.

The course proper is a magnificent, extremely well planned race track with a long straight of 400m and has massively wide expanses in the straight. Most of the starting points are good, especially the 1400m, 1200m and 2400m that gives good long runs to the first turn. Always wondered why the 1600m & 1800m start points were not better planned as we find only short runs to the first turn with these, meaning inside barrier are an advantage.

The Cushion Track runs immediately inside the grass and also has a long run home of almost 400m. Other than the 1200m starting point, all others require an inside barrier draw as there is short runs to the first turn.
