GALLOPERS PUNTING ARTICLES
Friday 13th: Are You Superstitious?
Okay, we all have them, and Gallopers reckon today, Friday the 13th is the best day to get them all out into the open. Yep, superstitions. Do you look in fear or trepidation when you see a black cat? Do you cross the street when you see a ladder in your path? Do you wear a special something to bring you luck when you punt? We know a few people who are reckless when it comes to superstitions. One mate will only ever wear blue under wear when going to the races, he reckons he wins every time when he does, and loses every time he doesn't. What a load of hogswallop! Another mate places his betting tickets in different parts of his clothing until he finally backs a winner, then places the tickets in that same spot for the rest of the day. He starts with placing the tickets in his shirt pockets, then progresses to his jacket pockets, then on to his trouser pockets. One day at the races he had the ticket implanted in his socks before he backed a winner! We reckon he simply has too many bets. When this punter sees a ladder sprawled on the foot path in front of him, he deliberately walks underneath it to prove superstitions do not exist. This punter deliberately wears different clothing every time he has a punt, to again disprove any superstition theories. Or maybe, that in itself is a superstition. Come on, think about it,
what do you to try to bring yourself some punting good fortune? Be honest, have
a laugh at yourself!
Good luck & profitable punting to all . . . . .
