GALLOPERS RACING PREVIEWS
Race Rating ***** Excellent betting race ** All previews are completed with good to dead track ratings in mind **
There are only seven galloping meetings for this Friday which is a little down on the last month or two. It is Quirindi Cup Day in northern western NSW with the famous Lightning the main support on the day. Goulburn, Ballarat, Ipswich & Geraldton make up the remaining five afternoon meetings. Moonee Valley host an excellent night meeting this Friday with $50,000 minimum prize money for each race. The feature is the Typhoon Tracy Stakes for the fillies over 1200m along with a $150,000 stayers event over 2500m. The final event of the evening looks a terrific race worth $80,000 with six last start winners engaged. The Sunshine Coast also race in the evening to support the big Moonee Valley program. Moonee Valley R2 0-82 2040m ****
1 #5 Second King - bolted in over this course & distance at his second
run back from a spell, can only be improved by that effort & this
field appears no stronger Moonee Valley R4 Open 955m ***
1 #2 Kulgrinda - this is the easiest race she has been involved in for
quite some time & will appreciate it, fitter for very good first up run
will sit just off the speed & be storming home in the straight Moonee Valley R6 Typhoon Tracy 1200m **
1 #1 Miss Stellabelle - she is probably the best filly in the race &
deserves to win a race like this, fitter for first up run & looks the
one to beat despite the awkward draw Moonee Valley R8 0-82 1600m *
1 #7 Zlatan - very promising horse who has already won 4 from 8, didn't
win by much last start however was beaten by a smart one here prior,
barrier the only concern Quirindi R7 Akubra Quirindi Cup 1600m *
1 #1 Equable - has much stronger form than most of these can boast,
first start for new stable however if he produces his city form here he
should be winning Quirindi R8 Lightning 1100m **
1 #2 Kelly - 1100m as far as he wants it & does rise in weight off last
start win, however does appear to have a bit on most of these Goulburn R6 BM60 1200m ****
1 #2 Prince Warrior - city class galloper who resumed with a great
effort to win from a wide barrier, can only be improved & is better than
these especially from the good draw
Best of luck & profitable punting to all this Friday .....
