..... This happens often in the punting world in Australia. Whenever there is a bet that looks a living certainty, & always at prohibitive odds, Sportingbet put out a press release informing the media they have taken a bet of $1 million on the good thing.

The Australian public see this again today, with Sportingbet CEO announcing in the press that his firm has taken a bet of $1m on Black Caviar to win the Patinack Classic at Flemington this afternoon. Ho hum, yawn even.

Why do these faceless & nameless punters only bet with Sportingbet? Why do the punters not use another agency? There is not much between them all & you can get better odds if you shop around.

In fact, if Sportingbet wanted to show the punting public how truly courageous they were, they would take a $1m bet on any horse, even a $10 shot or longer, not just $1.05 chances. I think we all know the answer if a punters asked to have a $1m bet on a $10, even a $5 shot. The punter would not get set for a quarter of the stake.

Sportingbet is no longer owned by Sullivan, he sold out to the UK based firm of the same name & he is now paid as CEO of the Autralian arm.

This is as always great publicity & even if it were true, it is becoming quite boring. So either leave us alone Sullo or start taking large wagers on longer priced commodities, then we will all sing your praises.
