Sunday Preview 19.2.12

Another huge Sunday afternoon's racing with the inaugural running of the Kangaroo Island Cup as a fully fledged TAB meeting. 2011 was to be the first official TAB meeting for Kangaroo Island however the program was washed out by rain so let's hope the weather is much kinder in 2012. Bendigo & Hamilton race in Victoria, Wyong & Mudgee in NSW, Sunshine Coast as always in Queensland with Pinjarra & Alice Springs making up the eight galloping meetings for this Sunday.

 Kingscote R7 Kangaroo Island Cup 1880m ***

1 #5 Fresh Tell - fitter for 3 runs back & showed class with emphatic victory last start on home track, this race no harder & will test these
2 #4 Regansburg - distance might be the issue with him & he does need to settle however should everything go right he can win this race
3 #1 Jewel King - has some weight however is racing well & will be trained to the minute
4 #3 Grandzig - fitter for 3 runs back & has won on the track which will be of assistance

Wyong R7 BM70  1200m ***

1 #6 Road To Summer - fitter for first up run on stronger grade where he was not disgraced, easier here & is drawn to perform
2 #4 Sugera - takes every step when asked & a definite winning hope again despite the awkward draw
3 #9 Al's Pride - fitter for 2 runs this time in & has won 2 from 6, from an astute stable, ell drawn & will be well ridden
4 #2 Elstrata - can improve on first up effort & has won 5 times & is drawn okay here

Sunshine Coast R7 Class 3 Plate  1400m ****

1 #12 Product - big drop in class here off last start when beaten narrowly, good winner here prior & looks the one to beat
2 #5 Busy Doin Nothing - put up a stout performance to win at Ippy last time out, will get back & this track will suit his run on style
3 #3 Theblackhand - last two runs in stronger company have been okay & should go close to wining this race from the nice draw
4 #10 Special Dragon - winner 2 of 7 & has been racing well of late, has claims again

Bendigo R6 0-72  2400m **

1 #1 No Dispute - showed improvement last start with extra fitness in winning well at Ballarat, extra distance no trouble & looks hard to toss again
2 #8 Xaar Best - easy winner past two in much weaker grade, this is tougher however horses can take this step over a journey & eh has to be respected here
3 #2 Warringah - enigma who did show a return to form last start however has to be taken on trust
4 #3 Zoned In - winner 2 of past 4 however does seem to battle when he steps up in grade, still has a chance here

Hamilton R4 0-72  1600m **

1 #3 Owners Priority - can improve here up to favourite distance over which she has won 3 times, Weir/Yendall combo helps
2 #2 Wattos Racer - does not win out of turn however put the writing on the wall last start & gets his chance with the claim here
3 #6 Annies Gem - emphatic Warrnambool winner last start after a good run in town & can go on wit the job here despite the rise in grade
4 #5 Jaggedman - fitter for 3 runs back & should be ready to fire again
