25.1.12 Robbo On Sidelines for 6 Weeks

..... Gallopers jockey Damien Robinson has been suspended by TRSA Stewards for an incident that occurred at Gawler on Wednesday 18 January 2012. Damien was found guilty under AR175(g) & given a 4 week suspension. Damien was also found guilty under AR175(a) & handed a 6 week suspension. Both suspensions are to be served concurrently.

Damien was also found guilty under AR145 in the he returned to scale after riding Centre Ripple at Gawler in excess of a half kilogram over weight & fined $300.

Damien is very disappointed in some of his actions at Gawler last Wednesday however was surprised at the severity of the penalty. He is considering whether to lodge an appeal against the severity of the sentence.

No matter what happens, Damien is determined to return to race riding in South Australia, work hard & get his career back on track as soon as he possibly can.
